- To develop and promote ethical practice in public institutions;
- To provide leadership and support to public institution ethicists;
- To support and service people with an interest in ethical practice in public institutions;
- To encourage the development and dissemination of an evolving body of knowledge about public ethics;
- To develop, promote and accredit professional standards of competence upon public institution ethicists; and
- To develop and promote special training programs using new digital technologies and media.
